I’ve always loved shopping — the joy of discovering beautiful pieces, the fun of refreshing my wardrobe each season, and the satisfaction of finding something special. Over time, though, I realised I was turning to fast fashion for quick updates when what I really wanted were the well‑made, individual pieces you find in independent boutiques and smaller contemporary brands.

When secondhand fashion selling sites became popular it was a lifeline to me. It meant that I could pass on clothes I no longer wore, acquire new treasures, and indulge my love of shopping more sustainably and affordably. But I soon realised that trawling through listings, negotiating bundles and hoping the right items would make it into the locker was both time‑consuming and unpredictable — and so I started My Collected Wardrobe: to do all of that hard work for you.

Each month, we curate a collection of contemporary preloved clothing and a small edit of accessories for our pop‑up events in Teddington. Among the rails, there are always beautiful finds from labels like Wyse, ME+EM, By Malene Birger, Selected Femme, Essential Antwerp and American Vintage — pieces designed to be enjoyed far longer than a single season. I choose every item myself, making sure there’s a good mix of sizes, silhouettes, colours and brands, and that each piece is in great condition.
